May 24, 2019 – Sumter, S.C. Jillian Huckeba, former Professional and Physicians Recruiter at Prisma Health Tuomey, has joined the Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce as Vice President of Programs and Events. Originally from Sumter, Ms. Huckeba has been volunteering in the community when she was 13 years old and most recently served on the Board for the Young Professionals of Sumter. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Jillian has been involved in the Sumter Community volunteering and serving when needed.
Jillian’s primary responsibilities will be the management and oversight of all Chamber programs and events along with the coordination of sponsorship and marketing opportunities for Chamber membership. Jillian will be replacing Nicole Bailey who served the Chamber for 5 years in the role of V.P. of Operations. The Chamber of Commerce restructured several positions earlier this year to better meet the needs of its membership. Jillian began her new role on Tuesday, May 28.
“We could not be more excited about Jillian joining our team here at the Chamber of Commerce. Her previous experience in sales, marketing and event management will be a huge addition to the Chamber as we look to grow our organization. Her professionalism, positive energy and community knowledge will be an excellent addition to our team. Our members and business community deserve our best and that is what we are going to give them. We are confident that she will make an immediate impact to our organization while bringing a 'thinking outside the box' mentality. For the first few weeks Jillian will be working with Nicole to learn our online membership database and learning more about our annual programs and events”, says Chris Hardy President & CEO.
