Your involvement is needed!
Work as a group - neighborhood - or simply on your own. Make sure YOUR property "makes a difference" - or choose a street, a public park to clean and beautify or join a planned neighborhood cleanup.
Sumter Volunteers along with the City and County of Sumter
sponsor this special event and a variety of projects have been planned.
(Citizens may also create their own projects.)
Individuals, families, children, youth, schools, churches, civic clubs and organizations, the workplace - the entire community is invited to share in this national community day. Get involved! You can make a difference!!!

Saturday, October 26 is the Twenty-Ninth Annual “National Make a Difference Day"
and citizens across the country are urged to do “something special” for their communities on this national day of community service.
Established on February 29, 1992 by USA Week-end Magazine to find out how much could be accomplished on an extra day in the year, it was so successful it became an annual event for the magazine and the Sumter Community. We anticipate participating for the 29th time.
