In celebration of Fort Jackson’s Centennial year, the 282nd Army Band, under the command of Chief Warrant Officer III George T. Bauer and First Sergeant Daniel Welch, is proud to present a “Home for the Holidays” concert at Patriot Hall at 7 p.m. on December 8th featuring the Crestwood High and Lakewood High School Chorus. “Home for the Holidays” is a general admission event open to the public. The 282nd Army band provides musical support to Fort Jackson, Columbia, Shaw AFB Sumter, South Carolina, The Midlands, and Fort Gordon, Georgia, through numerous musical performing groups. Ranging from jazz, classical, rock, and traditional military marches, the 282nd Army Band carries on the musical tradition of Fort Jackson.
