The Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce values and respects the privacy of our members. It is our policy to protect the information you provide. The following paragraphs describe what information the Greater Sumter Chamber collects, why we collect it, and how it is treated.

What information does the Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce collect?
When you register for an event:
- Your name
- Your e-mail address
- Your company name
- Your contact information, such as phone number, fax number and address
- Your state and county
- Your credit card information, such as card number, type and expiration date
What does the Greater Sumter Chamber do with your information?
Internally, any financial information you provide via the event registration section of our web site is only used for billing purposes related to the event for which you've registered. Your financial information is not stored or recorded for future use.
The Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate organizations retain the option to sell our membership list with your contact information (e.g., name, company name, company address) at any time to active members who are in good standing within the organization. We do not at anytime sell your email address to anyone. Members may choose to opt out of this list by contacting the membership department at (803) 775-1231. We do not disclose members' financial information.
Periodically throughout the year we update our members via email newsletters. If at any time you want to opt out of receiving our email newsletter, each newsletter includes instructions for doing so.
What about site security?
The Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce is committed to ensuring the security of your information. The Greater Sumter Chamber uses Authorize.net, a leading provider of Internet trust services, to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our site does link to third party sites, and the Greater Sumter Chamber claims no responsibility for the privacy and data usage on any third party site.
What about children using this site?
While there is no content at www.sumterchamber.com that is unsuitable for children, we do however process monetary transactions. We are also linked to hundreds of other business locations and do not control or monitior their content.
CORRECT AND UPDATE
The Greater Sumter Chamber allows its users the option to change or modify information previously provided. This may be done by emailing the corrected or updated information to chamber@sumterchamber.com or by logging-in as a member and updating the information personally. Unfortunately, to the extent that such information is also stored in other databases, we cannot always ensure that such corrections or deletions will reach the other databases. We will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that your information is removed from or corrected in our records.

The Site may provide a link to other sites by allowing the user to leave the Site to access third-party material or by bringing the third-party material into the Site via "inverse" hyperlinks and framing technology (a "Linked Site").
